Mambassa are an Italian independent pop-rock group, this is their Il cronista The chronicler from ten years
ago. I cannot explain why this song is not a classic.

August Perturbation

Agosto August is a beautiful song by the independent pop group Perturbazione, it presents summer under a quite melancholic and sad shade, perhaps inspired by the loneliness of being in a big city during this week, when almost everybody is on holiday somewhere else.

Actually, apart from the tourists, our cities are far from being empty because of the economic crisis, but this was 2002.

Subsonica, New Italian Obsession

They’re the  Subsonica, since 1997 the most important electronic-alternative-rock (rock?!?) band in Bel Paese. This is one of their singles, Nuova Ossessione, from their 2002 album Amorematico.
